The doctors and staff at North Street Medical Care are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare.

We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including postnatal care, childhood vaccinations and NHS Health Checks.

 

North Street Medical Care would like to apologise for the recent issues with our telephone service being unavailable. Our telephone provider has assured us this was a temporary issue and should not be happening in the future. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.


Vision online services

At North Street Medical Care we are introducing Vision online services, this will allow patients to book appointments online and order your current repeat prescriptions. Please note you are no longer able to request your prescriptions via this website. This is due to problems with the service, that is why the option was removed straight away. If you would like to continue ordering your prescriptions via the internet, please register for the vision online service.

If you are interested in using this service, please click here for the information sheet we require you to complete and bring into the surgery along with photo ID.

For further information on how the service works or to use once you have your token, please visit http://www.myvisiononline.co.uk  There is a help button in the top right hand corner of the web page. Please note our staff are only able to issue your registration token.

Vasectomy Service

We are currently not accepting any new referrals into this service if you live in Havering or Barking and Dagenham. If you live in these areas and you are trying to access this service please speak to your own GP to be referred to another provider.

If you live in Brentwood or Basildon areas we are accepting new referrals.

New Service – HIV Testing

North Street Medical Care has been chosen as a pilot site for on the spot HIV testing. This will be routinely offered to ALL new patients between the ages of 15 – 64 years who are registering here as a new patient. You will be offered the test by the Health Care Assistant/Nurse during your new patient interview and will get your result immediately. In order to take advantage of this test it is essential that you read the attached Frequently Asked Questions before you attend for your appointment. Appointments
Please note the appointment’s number is 01708 629733. We offer a 24 hour automated booking service for some types of appointments. Please listen carefully to the instructions given when you telephone the surgery. You will need to have your date of birth and telephone number available so that the system can verify your details. If you prefer to book your appointment's online please click here for further information on how to register.

Home Visits
Requests for home visits should be made before 11.00 a.m. where possible. Please ring 01708 629733. The receptionist will request some details of your medical problem so that the appropriate clinician can assess your need for a visit and the urgency. The doctor may ‘phone you back to discuss your problem in more detail. A decision to visit remains at the doctor’s discretion and is based on medical necessity.

Out of Hours
If you need a doctor IN AN EMERGENCY then telephone the surgery on 01708 629733 and listen to the instructions given for contacting the duty doctor. The doctor may wish to speak with you and may advise you to attend the Out of Hours Centre.
