The doctors and staff at North Street Medical Care in Romford, are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including postnatal care, childhood vaccinations and NHS Health Checks

There has been 1 confirmed case of Hepatitis A in 1 child in a school in Dagenham. Public Health England have taken charge and are vaccinating the rest of the child's year group and close contacts only.
A sibling is at a secondary school in Dagenham but does not have Hepatitis A.

The practice will not be able to vaccinate anyone. For any concerns, patients can telephone 111 or Public Health England on 0207654800

 

10th February 2016 - North Street will be fully supporting our 2 junior doctor GP trainees as they take strike action - who will be present for emergency care only

While we regret the inevitable disruption that this will cause, junior doctors have clearly been left with no alternative but to consider strike action due to the Government’s continued threat to impose a contract that is unsafe for patients and unfair for doctors. There will, inevitably, be disruption to national GP services as a result of the industrial action. However, the partners, clinical staff and administrative staff will all be present to ensure that patient care does not suffer

Walk in flu clinic dates 2015:


All the walk-in flu clinics have now passed. Please ask your nurse or doctor for a flu immunisation during your consultations if you are eligible.  

If you have missed the clinics, you can still attend the surgery daily between 11am - 12pm from Tuesday-Friday for your flu immunisations.



GP Access New Appointment System - 1st June 2015GpAccess

Our new exciting telephone and appointment system will mean when you call the surgery, reception will book you into GP telephone appointment, nurses appointment or message taken for any administrative tasks.

For a doctor's appointment:

1.  You phone the surgery

2.  The clinician calls you back – in the same morning or afternoon session

3.  You are always seen if needed – and will be offered an appointment at the surgery

Patients can be spoken to and seen much faster than with the traditional model.  You can ask to see a particular doctor if that is important to you.  There will be no need to attend in person or call early in the morning to make an appointment. Patients who would have waited for weeks, suffered in silence or gone to A&E, will instead be speaking to their doctor and receiving first class service from someone who knows them.


Vision online services

At North Street Medical Care we are introducing Vision online services, this will allow patients to book appointments online and order your current repeat prescriptions and view your own medical record online. If you are interested in using this service, please click here

Havering Health - Evening and Weekend GP HUB

North Street is proud to announce it has been chosen as the site for Havering's new GP access HUB for urgent out-of-hours evening and weekend appointments - click here for further details.

Access to these appointments is via NHS 111 or directly via 020 3770 1888, for those patients registered with a GP practice in Havering only. There will be no walk-in service
