These are Walk-in clinics for eligible patients. You will receive a SMS message reminder or a letter if you are eligible.
Under 18 year olds MUST book an appointment as we are unable to see this cohort of patients during a Walk-in Clinic. Please await your invite letter/SMS message before telephoning for an appointment.
- Please note our practice carpark at the North Street Site will not be open during Saturday flu clinics for health and safety reasons. There will only be disabled parking available for these clinics.
- Please do not attend our flu clinic if you have any symptoms of COVID-19.
Who can have the flu vaccine?
The flu vaccine is given to people who:
- are 65 and over
- have certain health conditions
- are pregnant
- are in long-stay residential care
- receive a carer’s allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if you get sick
- live with someone who’s at high risk from coronavirus (on the NHS shielded patient list)
- frontline health or social care workers

You qualify for an NHS flu jab if you are 65 or over, or if you have any of the following problems:
- Heart disease
- Asthma (on inhaled steroids)
- Kidney failure
- Any condition requiring steroids or cancer treatment
- You are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person
- Chronic bronchitis
- Diabetes
- Respiratory disease making you short of breath
- Multiple sclerosis or hereditary and degenerative diseases of the Central Nervous System
- Suffered a stroke
Children – All children aged between 2, 3 and 4 years of age are being offered a flu vaccination via a nasal spray unless otherwise indicated due to medical conditions.
This appointment is to be booked by invitation letter only, once you have received your child’s letter, please call 01708 629733 to book an appointment. Please note Primary school aged children will be receiving this vaccination as part of the school programme. If you require any further information about your child receiving this vaccine please call the surgery and make an appointment to see one of our nurses who will be happy to discuss with you any concerns or questions you may have.
Anti-pneumonia jab – In addition, if you are aged 65 or over or are in one of the ‘at risk’ groups outlined above you should have an anti-pneumonia jab. If you have not had an anti-pneumonia vaccination please ask the nurse about this.
